Nomenclature of organic compound is very easy topic.A systematic study of nomenclature makes u perfect in nomenclature. Before naming of any organic compound you have must know about word root, suffix and prefix.after knowing word root, suffix and prefix you have to know rules for nomenclature of a compound.
        PREFIX +WORD ROOT +SUFFIX

Prefix used before the word root of a compound ,i.e.chloro,bromo,iodo,alkyl group etc.
word root indicates no. of carbon atom in the longest chain of a compound, for ex.meth for 1carbon,eth for two carbon etc.,suffix is of two type i.e primary suffix and secondary suffix.
primary suffix indicate no.of bonds between carbon and carbon.secondary suffix indicates functional group in the compound.
